The day lily garden was spectaculiar this year in spite of weeks of rain.  It’s  a shame they didn’t last longer, but I’m happy with the shots I did manage to get..rains and all.
I just finished loading Adobe Photoshop’s trial version to see what it’s all about. Gosh there is so much to learn! This was my first project.. not balanced I know, but I’m pretty happy with it.

Where has this summer disappeared to?  It seems like we were just anxiously awaiting the return of Spring.  Though for many gardeners in the northeast this year wasn’t the best weatherwise, we still managed to grow plenty of veggies, played in the surf paddling around on my kayak,  participated in many art shows, and met some really fun folks at our farmers market through this season.  I won’t miss these muggy days, but I’m more than ready to slow down a bit.. and I just adore Autumn’s crisp air.  The Fall festivals will begin before we know it, but the pace a much slower one and before I know it I’ll be able to enjoy my solitary walks  along deserted beaches once again.  As I walked along the beach last night with the biggest full the moon shining down on the water  I was reminded of why I love New England and it’s four seasons.  Once you get tired of one, another is quick to come along and look forward to. Although, if I had my druthers.. god could shorten that whitish season a bit more for my liking.  🙂  But I’ll recall last night when the winter winds are blowing.. and look forward to next years’ breezy summer days. It’s been a great summer all in all. Hope you enjoyed yours equally as much.
