By far my fave time of the year..  seeding season. I’m excited to test some new things for me this year, and awaiting a special package coming from Lebanon with even more organic varieties of veggies and herbs for this season. Plus even better news… baseball season officially begins next week. Yippee.

On a night much like last night.. windy and raw.. by lantern, as we were without power due to the storm,  Vidahlia our oldest and best Mom delivered her triplets like an old pro…

and not two hours later Pansy, a first timer.. delivered with only a little assistance from me… young Jonah.  Historically not all of our birthing ewe’s deliveries went so well.. but we were blessed  that chilly March night. 🙂 I’m wishing all shepherds as smooth deliveries this lambing season.

Every day I take a walk along the beach. Yesterday was a really nice day, so I decided to take some shots of new soaps for a brochure… these guys thought I had lost my marbles! LOL

As the bitter wind blew steadily out of the ?? north/east/west? (fill in blank) it bites into my cheeks as I walk along. And then  I bump into my old friend, Oscar.. who stares at me and wonders why I am out in such cold weather.. I might ask the same.

May we raise children who love the unloved things– the dandelion, the worms and the spiderlings.

Children who sense the rose, needs the thorn & run into rainswept days, the same way they turn towards the sun….

And when they’re grown and someone has to speak for those that have no voice…

…. may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tender things– and be the ones.
